Keybindings
The full keyboard cheat sheet for The World. In-game you can remap any action — press K to open the keybindings panel and tap Change on any row.
| Action | Keys | What it does |

| Move | Arrow keys or numpad 1–9 | Hold to keep walking. |
| Hotbar | Number keys 1–0 (top row) | Pick a slot, then Use / Drop / Equip (logged in). |
| Look around | Shift + arrows, or the move-camera button (🕹️) | Pan the camera without walking. Tap move-camera off to snap back to you. |
| Engage | P or Numpad Enter | Tap to interact; hold on grass to mine dirt; hold Engage + a direction into a fir tree to chop it. |
| Punch (Light Strike) | L or Numpad 0 | Melee punch toward a rival in front of you. |
| Kick (Hard Strike) | Numpad . | Hard kick toward a rival in front of you. |
| Wave | Numpad + | Friendly emote — everyone nearby sees you wave. |
| Flip the bird | Numpad − | Cheeky emote — a soft “up yours” to the room. |
| Recenter camera | Numpad 5 | Snap the view back to your character. |
| Zoom | Z | Cycle camera Near / Mid / Far. |
| Move camera | C | Toggle free-camera pan mode (or tap the move-camera button). |
| Inventory tray | I (phone) | Pop the backpack hotbar over the world. |
